Friday A-B-Cs: Intros 👋🏼, Super Bowl Parties 🏈 and More!
Allow us to introduce ourselves 🎉
A is for “A Short Introduction”
Hey there, tired moms and dads! Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Tired Parent Social Club newsletter!
We’re still hashing out our vision for this, but expect to find lots of memes, valuable parenting info, weekend activity ideas and eventually, exclusive kid-friendly and parent-only events for our subscribers.
With that said, let's dive in!
B is for “Before Kids vs After Kids, and This Week’s Great Memes
1. Before Kids vs After Kids
All too relatable. Here I thought working at Starbucks in college was the worst customer service job I’d ever have 🙃
2. Big Toddler Energy
If I had a nickel for every time my mom told me this about my son, I’d have enough to pay for one of my daily Americanos needed to keep up with him
3. Happiness is a Rainbow Charizard
What a moment. Make it a goal to create more moments that bring you this much childlike joy and excitement
C is for Celebrating the end of the NFL Season 🏈
Still looking for a spot to watch the Super Bowl this weekend? Here are a few kid-friendly locations in LA to cheer for your favorite team (or, at least enjoy some good food, funny commercials and the Usher halftime show before inevitably needing to leave early).
1. Common Space Brewery in Hawthorne, CA
Common Space Brewery will be hosting a Lunar New Year Market in addition to screening the Super Bowl at their kid-friendly, open-format brewery. Plenty of great beer, non-alcoholic options and food vendors on site.
2. The Proud Bird in El Segundo, CA
The Proud Bird in El Segundo is a great spot for families to catch the game. Plenty of TVs, all-day happy hour, an extensive food hall, a playground and grassy lawn outside for the kids to run and play, all against the scenic backdrop of planes landing at LAX.
Dave and Busters, Various Locations
Arcade games, ski-ball, plenty of TVs, good drinks and food, and various locations throughout LA county — whats not to like?
Welp, smells like my baby just had a blowout, so that’s all for this week!
Hit “reply” to let us know what you thought of this week’s issue, what you’d like to see more of, what type of events you’re interested in, and anything else you’d like to share.
Thanks for tuning in!
P.S. — Please share with any other tired parents (or soon-to-be parents) that might be interested!
